Haku

Background

What is written below is subject to change.)Born and brought up in a small town on Talia, Haku grew up knowing little to nothing about the world beyond the stars. He knew what his parents taught him and the stories the local townsfolk told him and the other children. Even at a young age, Haku knew that thievery was something most if not all of the town residents partook in to survive and support their small community. He too would have to do his part one day.As he grew older, Haku trained under his father, a renown thief who was well respected by the other bandits in town. He quickly became a bandit himself, thanks to his father's strict teachings. In his novice years, Haku helped his father and other resident thieves steal from enemy camps, learning from both their victories and their failures. Over time, he accumulated enough experience and confidence to go off on his own a lot more. In most of his ventures, Haku managed to invade enemy territory, take what he needed, and leave without a trace. Unlike most bandits, he preferred not to physically harm those he was stealing from.---------------During his teenage years, Haku grew ill with an unknown ailment. His body began to weaken and his mind was never able to rest. Nightmarish visions, thoughts, and dreams kept him up at night. It was rare when he got a good nights rest. Although he wasn't at his best he continued to do his part as a bandit. Over time, Haku's symptoms worsened. He grew weaker and the nightmares that plagued his mind became unbearable. If Haku continued getting worse, he feared he wouldn't be able to survive on Talia.Wanting to find help for his illness, Haku made the decision to leave his home planet, despite knowing that he would be leaving everything he knew behind. His journey away from home led him to different planets that carried many new experiences and hardships but was never able to get the answers he wanted for his condition. After leaving home, he noticed his symptoms had drastically improved but they still lingered. Occasionally, he would be struck with sudden spouts of weakness and nightmares.
---------------He eventually overheard a stranger talk about his trip to Penacony while having a drink in a local bar. A planet known for its wondrous dreamlands that free one's self from their physical form and a vacation hotspot people flock to in search of dreams they’ve longed for. Naturally, Haku was curious about the dreamlands and wanted to see if this planet really lived up to its reputation. Maybe he could find his answers there, if he was lucky. He soon traveled to the Asdana star system and visited Penacony.Although Haku originally came to Penacony with no plans of staying long-term, he ended up getting roped into the Bloodhound Family, after he stopped a gang of stowaways who had stolen many valuable items from Penacony's guests and staff. A few members of the Family saw potential in him and recruited him. Haku was hesitant at first, but he was in desperate need of money and a place to stay so he took the job. From that day forward, Haku was officially recognized as a member of the Bloodhound Family.
